Today Uber announced a new subscription based ride plan called Ride Pass, currently available in five cities, Los Angeles, Austin, Orlando, Denver, and Miami. The cost starts at $24.99 a month. With this subscription, riders will receive savings up to 15% on rides by locking in “consistent, low prices on any ride they take, anywhere in a city, anytime of day” they take during the that month.

According to The Verge, Ride Pass rates are calculated based historical data and are not affected by surge pricing or other external factors.

Riders in the above five cities can sign up today within the Uber app. With the auto renew feature, the subscription automatically renews a monthly basis. Of course, if you change your mind, you can cancel any time.
